Super Duplex S32750 Vs Austenitic and Normal Duplex
S32750 super duplex stainless steel plate is a super duplex stainless steel plate supplied in hot worked and solution annealed condition. As a super duplex stainless steel, it combines the advantages of austenitic and ferritic grades. Higher chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen contents result in a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) >40, providing superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in almost all aggressive media than austenitic and duplex stainless steels, and more than 50 °C critical pitting temperature. S32750 duplex stainless steel plate can achieve a yield strength of 80ksi (550Mpa), which is higher than most austenitic and duplex stainless steel grades. SAF 2507 super duplex stainless steel plate cannot be hardened by heat treatment but can be strengthened by cold working. Super duplex 2507 plate also has a lower coefficient of thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity than austenitic steels.
