Hastelloy X plate, known as 2.4665 Hastelloy X, is an exceptional superalloy suitable for demanding high-temperature environments. It consists of a blend of nickel, chromium, iron, and molybdenum, granting it remarkable properties. Specifically designed to perform between 1000°C (1832°F) and 1200°C (2192°F), this alloy exhibits superior resistance to both oxidation and corrosion, making it an optimal choice for applications under harsh conditions. A widely used material in gas turbine engine combustors, exhaust systems, and afterburners, Hastelloy X UNS N06002 plate can be relied upon to withstand extreme operating conditions while maintaining its integrity.

2.4665 Hastelloy X ASTM Standard:
  • The ASTM B435 standard specification outlines the requirements for high-temperature alloy plate, sheet, and strip that are highly resistant to heat and corrosion. These materials are designed to withstand harsh operating conditions and remain reliable over extended periods of use.
Manufacturers must adhere to strict quality control measures to produce plate, sheet, and strip alloys that conform to the guidelines set out in ASTM B435. This ensures uniformity in the materials' mechanical and chemical properties, as well as their dimensional accuracy.
The heat-resistant alloys specified in this document are made from nickel-chromium, nickel-chromium-iron, and nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum materials. These alloys can operate at high temperatures for extended periods without degrading or losing their strength. Additionally, they are highly resistant to corrosion and exhibit excellent creep and stress rupture properties.
Overall, the ASTM B435 standard serves as a critical reference point for industries that rely on heat-resistant alloys for their applications. By ensuring that materials meet or exceed these requirements, manufacturers can trust their products will perform reliably and maintain their integrity even in the most severe operating conditions.

  • There are several grades of high-performance alloys available in the market today. These alloys are known for their exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion.
Hastalloy C22 and Hastalloy C276 are two popular grades of corrosion-resistant alloys that are widely used in various industries. Both alloys are highly resistant to corrosion and offer excellent mechanical strength.
Monel K500 is another popular high-performance alloy that is known for its exceptional corrosion resistance. This alloy is often used in marine and petrochemical applications due to its excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion.
Inconel 625 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloy that is commonly used in aerospace and chemical processing industries. Its high strength and resistance to corrosion make it ideal for extreme environments.
Inconel 601 is another high-performance alloy that is widely used in several industries. It offers a high level of resistance to oxidation and corrosion, making it ideal for high-temperature applications.
Incoloy 800, Incoloy 800H, and Incoloy 825 are three popular grades of nickel-based alloys that are known for their excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. These alloys are often used in high-temperature applications such as nuclear power plants, gas turbines, and chemical processing facilities.
Overall, the use of high-performance alloys has become increasingly popular due to their impressive mechanical strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand extreme temperatures and environments.
